Dogs- Your True Companion

Dogs are the best companion a person can have in this fast running world; although people may differ in this opinion as many may be a cat person. An animal is a great idea for companionship.  Studies have shown that having a dog for a companion helps a lot in various aspects of life.  It helps you to be emotionally strong, to be less depressed, and reduces the rate of heart disease. A dog not only will keep you safe by chasing away dangers, but it will also put itself first in harm’s way to safeguard you.  A dog helps to keep you happy and provides company in lonely times.

Collies are a very cute and attractive breed of dog. They are thought to have originated in the Scotland and Northern England area, but over a period of time, they have been found all over the world, and specifically North America. They are a breed of herding dog so they can be used for herding, or as a show or working dog, therapy work, or an excellent choice for keeping as a pet. These dogs show extreme trainability, stamina, and agility. These dogs have a very good life expectancy and weigh up to 22 to 32kg.

The general and famous two types are as follows:

·         Rough collies which have long hair, or Lassie type collie

·         Smooth collies which have short hair
